Navigation and Mountain Safety

Both are two day courses which can be booked separately, the first covering map reading the second covering First Aid and compass use.
A certificate is issued on completion of the First Aid course.

Walking with a map: £40.00
First Aid & Walking with a Compass: £50.00
Both courses: £80.00

These practically based courses will cover the basic skills required to read and understand an OS map and also show how useful a compass can be. The First Aid section will give advice on procedures to take when encountering an injury whilst out walking. Both will cover a full day and will include snacks before and after at Calderbank.
The course is expertly taught and paced to suit your level of experience and fitness. It is ideal for ramblers and walkers from beginners to intermediate levels.
